Southern California's BASTIK LEGION is a dynamic culmination of the mixing and production talents of Chris Kendall (DJ), Chance Strickland (DJ/Producer), and Jared Christianson (Drummer). They've shared the stage with the likes of Designer Drugs, Steve Aoki, Felix Cartel, Harvard Bass, LaidBack Luke, JOTS, Charles Feelgood, and Audiokillers just to name a few. Their love for all styles of music makes for interesting and energetic sets, switching from breaks to electro to dubstep to drum and bass, all in one glorious experience, leaving sweat soaked bassheads raving for more.
BASTIK LEGION's debut EP Lightwaves on NYC's High Chai Recordings delivers that chunky LA Bass sound complete with lazers and ragga vox in some new BPM combinations. The opener "Lightwaves" is a Drumstep mover layered with female vocal snippets and heavy b-lines.
"Majestic" flips the smoother 112 BPM Drum and Bass aesthetic on its head with a seven-half minute journey of genre-twisting proportions - perfect for a Moombah transition into ragga-infused drumstep.
"Big Babylon" continues on the ragga vox tip to close out this big debut from BASTIK LEGION.
